Buttock augmentation or the “Brazilian Butt Lift” is intended to produce a fuller, rounded and up-lifted buttock.
Excess fat from various parts of the body (abdomen, back, hips, waist, etc.) is harvested and transferred into the buttocks. Buttock augmentation with micro fat grafting is the preferred method over buttock implants.
After the excess fat has been harvested via liposuction, it is transferred through multiple layers through small syringes connected to micro cannulas (tubes.)
A control garment must be worn for 2 to 4 weeks. There will be temporary swelling and discomfort in the buttocks for about 3 weeks. Most patients return to work after one week.
In addition to the usual risks associated with surgery and anesthesia, risks associated with buttock augmentation will be discussed during your consultation.
