Post Operative Care and Recovery
Some swelling may occur but will disappear within a few weeks. A splint may be applied to stabilize and protect the nose.
Patients must refrain from smoking for several weeks before and after surgery. The nose will also need protection from the sun for a year after surgery. Patients occasionally report minor pain and may be effectively treated with oral medication and a cold compress.
