Post Operative Care and Recovery
The face is bandaged to secure and stabilize the implants to speed recovery and reduce swelling. Keeping the head elevated during the initial recovery phase is also important. Patients sometimes report minor pain and is effectively treated with oral medication. Patients may experience some swelling, which is eased through cold compresses. A liquid diet may be required for a few days as chewing may be difficult.
